“Contemporary Writers of Poland”, ed. Danuta Błaszak Publisher: Dreammee Little City available on www.lulu.com Eliza Mahoney writes:
In recent years Poland has seen publication of quite a few anthologies of contemporary poetry
coming from the best and the brightest. But making those collections available to readers across
the world is a different and much more complicated story. Translations, if at all, tend to be done
by poetry enthusiasts at British and American universities, and thus circulated among small groups only. Read more: byElizaMahoney.pdf

Dr. Leszek Szymanski writes:
The anthology "Contemporary Writers
of Poland" selected by Danuta Błaszak, the editor of magazine
"City of Writers" and a poet herself, presents to the English
language reader the significant writers mostly poets of the
generation which arrived after the Nobel Prize winners Wislawa
Szymborska and Czeslaw Milosz. The presentation is in

Book " SARA "
Author - Dorota Silaj
available on Amazon.com
ISBN:
0-9779494-3-5
Dorota
Silaj presents a heart - warming story to all young adults who love nature,
suspense, sadness and joy. Girls might like it a little bit better than a
boys thought. The story is set in the 1800's at the land called Green Gables
and revolves around young people named Sara and Adam and their friends Ann
and Nick. Sara and Adam are recently adopted by their aunt Maria who lives at
Green Gables farm. Stern, plain and hard working unmarried older woman isn't
used to having kids around. Let alone one as spirited and talkative as Sara.
Through the book Sara has many amusing adventures and the reader is allowed
to experience the joys and heartache Sara encounters whilst growing up. I
found myself being drawn into Sara's vivid world of fun and eccentricity.
It's hard not to see the beauty and romance in this book. Sara has a true
friend Ann and a handsome admire Nick who loved only her from the beginning
of the book to the end of the book. His love was true and passionate. Sara
was too proud to tell him, she loves him too. This is the most passionate
love I have ever read about. Sara is a book that inspire me greatly. The
character, the story line is beautiful. If you enjoy reality books with a bit
of fun then I recommend this excellent book. I would whole - heartedly
recommend Sara to old and young alike. A great character of Sara's will
remain in all hearts for years to
come. Signature: Mary

Danuta Błaszak writes:
I’m so excited that the book by Dorota
Silaj, “Sara”, will be made into a movie.
Readers
like the book. “The road leads through wide meadows, tall bunch of grass,
and colorful wild flowers. The sun rays come from the sky and warm up things
on their way.” Readers can travel on carriage or on food, and they don’t want
to give up. “Sara” is a distant cousin of “Ann of Green Gables” with things
located on Prince Edward’s Island.
The novel carries the greatest values that
are empathy, love, and sensitivity to the nature. The values are stronger
than some other short lived trends in literature such as turpism or empty
streams of words. In “Sara”, words have their meaning, the psychological
level is deep, and characters are full.
Two
teenagers: girl and boy, and also a wealthy, elegant woman, find their
happiness. The book offers adventure, reflection, and the warm rays of the
sun.
I recommended the book. I can’t wait for the
movie.
